  Gompers Park - In addition to an outdoor pool, Gompers Park has a playground, three junior baseball fields, one football field, two basketball standards, four tennis courts, a skating area and spray pool. Inside the park fieldhouse are several activity rooms, a gymnasium and an auditorium with stage.
  Horner Park - At nearly 55 acres, Horner Park is one of the largest parks on the North Side and boasts five softball fields, four football/soccer fields, four outdoor basketball standards, five tennis courts, a playground, a relaxing nature area and plenty of open green space for picnics and fun.

  Kilbourn Park - Created by the Irving Park District, Kilbourn Park takes its name from adjoining Kilbourn Street, named in honor of a small town located near the Wisconsin Dells. The Irving Park District had formed in 1910 to create and manage parks for its tree-lined, middle-class neighborhood. Fifteen years later, the district acquired the site for Kilbourn Park and improvements began.
  Peterson Park - Peterson Park is known for its state-of-the-art gymnastics center, which offers quality instruction for beginners to advanced competitors year-round. The park also features four tennis courts, two playgrounds, two softball fields, a walking path and four basketball standards.
  Portage Park - Portage Park offers something for every kind of play—six tennis courts, two playgrounds, a slab for in-line skating, a bike path, a nature walk, five baseball fields, two combination football/soccer fields and two fieldhouses—one housing a gymnasium and the other a cultural arts building.

  Irving Park Community Children's Choir - This ensemble meets for ninety minutes, Wednesdays at 4:30 pm. Each rehearsal is focused on training and developing the chorister's voices. Through Kodaly syllables, students are trained to sight-read musical notation. Repertoire is selected from the finest music possible.
  Irving Park Fine Arts Series - The Performing Arts Series is arranged by the Irving Park Fine Arts Committee.
